About Me

My Photo
i am a textile artist and teacher. i love creating and making - anything from a traditional patchwork quilt to textured mixed media collages. i like playing with a soldering iron, a heat gun and synthetic fabrics. my first love is painting but i don't get much time for it at the moment. i enjoy spending time with my family and dogs, working in my garden ( when the weather is good) and getting out into the countryside. hoo's spirit

a painted and distressed lutrador mask

the mask on its fabric background

i've been playing with more ideas for the mask project and at last have found what i have been looking for. painted and distressed lutrador knocked back with fuse fx, gives a lovely surface and is crying out for more dstressed metal and rust techniques. watch this space!
