sewing again

having survived the festivities and recovering from the foot surgery i want to get  back to my creative work but just don't seem to be able to get going so i decided to make this table mat for my kitchen using some of the left over fabric from my blinds and some of lucie summer's lovely fabric so i thought i would share it with you and here is one of lucie's lovely mugs just to set it off - have a look at summerville!

Anyway happy new year to everyone and i am sure it will be creative!

what's on my design wall

well this is on my design wall at the moment - not an art quilt in sight! after such a busy time with exhibitions this year all i really want to do is some straight forward sewing while i recharge my batteries. this is a return to a scrap quilt project started a long time ago. who would have thought that random half square triangles could be so theraputic and quite creative.
