african fabric safari mileham

magie sorting out her stand

quilts from the tent makers of cairo
had a really good day yesterday at mileham with magie and bob and many others. it was great to see so many old friends and cach up with everyone's news as well as demonstrating melting and burning!
the quilts from cairo are amazing, made by the guys we saw at the festival of quilts - at the end of the day i had succumbed and came home with one of them - O dear i'm supposed to be trying to earn money not spend it!

ATW at thaxted

well its jubilee weekend and predictably the weather has turned to gloom and rain - actually we really need the rain and colin is pleased that the farm (and garden) are getting a good drink but i hope it stops in time for the flotilla up the thames this afternoon. anyway here are 2 images from our current exhibition at thaxted we have had quite a lot of visitors and folks seemed to enjoy our work. you still have time to see it as the exhibition goes on until tuesday afternoon - and thaxted is worth a visit, beautiful old buildings lots of interesting architecture.
